Just as you have suggested, my hands are indeed more than full with this colossal project and I could not imagine doing any other even after its completion. I suppose such pilgrimage could only be made once in a life time.

I did three other short stories from FFNet though, Icemera's Superstar and Nowhere, and a selected chapter of ChieH's Playing House. Feel free to take a look and leave your comments.

I'd definitely look into the fan-fictions you recommended. My personal favourites (apart from IN) in FFNet are "If There be Thorns" by Entropy Empathy, and "Stain" by Extrinsical. Unfortunately they are both incomplete.

(And... I have just noticed all my favourite writers start with an "E"... )
